2. Overview and legal bases

domira.group is a platform for property developers, estate agents and financial intermediaries. We process personal data only to the extent necessary for operating the website and the platform, for your user account and for responding to your enquiries. The legal bases are in particular:

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – contract or pre-contractual measures (e.g. use of the platform),
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – legal obligations (e.g. statutory retention obligations),
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning and user-friendly platform,
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – your consent, where we ask you for it.

We do not pass your data on to third parties for advertising purposes and we do not sell it. The website does not use any advertising or tracking cookies and no social media plug-ins.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website, platform, database and visitor statistics run on a server that we rent from STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin. The server is located in a data centre in Germany. STRATO processes the data exclusively on our behalf (data processing under Art. 28 GDPR).

Each time the website is accessed, the server automatically stores technical information in log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device,
  • date and time of access,
  • address accessed (URL) and amount of data transferred,
  • previously visited page (referrer), if transmitted by the browser,
  • browser and operating system used.

We need this data to deliver the website, identify errors and fend off attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are generally deleted automatically after 14 days. The connection is encrypted throughout via TLS (recognisable by “https://”).

4. Cookies and browser storage

We use only technically necessary cookies and browser storage:

  • NEXT_LOCALE – stores the selected language (German, English or Spanish).
  • token – is only set after you log in and keeps you logged in. It becomes invalid when you log out or when the session expires.
  • During registration and login, the selected role (e.g. estate agent or property developer) and your email address are briefly stored in your browser’s session storage for entering the confirmation code; they are deleted when you close the browser window.

The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We do not use cookies for advertising or statistics; that is why there is no cookie banner.

5. Visitor statistics with Matomo

To understand which public pages attract interest, we use the open-source software Matomo on our own server (statistik.domira.group). The data does not leave this server and is not passed on to third parties.

  • Only public pages are counted – the area behind the login (dashboards, account, administration) is not recorded.
  • Matomo works without cookies. To recognise related page views, Matomo merely generates an identifier that changes daily and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you.
  • Your IP address is truncated (anonymised) immediately.
  • The data recorded includes pages accessed, date and time, length of visit, referring website, device type, browser, operating system and approximate country.
  • The raw data is deleted after 14 months at the latest.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in data-minimising audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object at any time – for example by emailing us or by using a tracking blocker in your browser.
